Uh... Wow. I've been gone a long time...
I could give some excuse... but there's really not one. So here, have a photo of my Great-grandma's sewing machine. Or one of her machines' at least.
It's a Singer 66-1 made in 1921 from cast iron. It needs a new base or cabinet (old cabinet was ruined and beyond repair) and new wiring, but should work just fine after being oiled and cleaned.
Despite the needed maintenance, it's lovely to look at and I find myself staring at it quite often!

Lovely sewing machine! Vintage is the way to go. So you should totally get it all cleaned up and find a new base for it. There are a couple awesome groups that I'm in on FB for vintage machines. If you'd like, I can link them to you to so you can check them out.
